An international comprative study on the effectiveness of elite sport policies

As a follow up to ‘The Global Sporting Arms Race’ (SPLISS I) SPLISS has set up an international project that compares the elite sport policies and climate among nations using a mixed quantitative and qualitative methodology, called SPLISS-II. From January 2011 until beginning 2012, researchers from 16 nations started with the data collection following the nine Pillar Model and measuring 126 CSF as a framework at two levels. Read more

(a) Overall Sport Policy inventory: an extensive semi-structured interview driven inventory on all the indicators of the nine pillars.

(b) Elite sport climate survey: a structured survey with elite athletes, coaches and performance directors from national governing bodies in all countries.
